A photographer from Time Magazine had a heated exchange with a Secret Service agent at a Trump rally today that ended with the photographer being body-slammed and choked.

The photographer, Chris Morris, was on the edge of the press pen attempting to take photos of protesters of color who were being escorted out of the Trump rally. One of the Secret Service agents began trying to prevent Morris from taking photos and began trying to bodily move Morris away from the scene, even using his cheat to “bump” Morris out of the way. Morris was having none of this, however, and intended to do his job as a photographer, eventually yelling “F*ck you!” to the Secret Service agent.
The Independent Journal reports that:
“The altercation escalated after Morris shouted “f*ck you” to the agent while trying to get a proper angle from which to take photos of the protestors.
While Morris did not try to leave the cordoned-off press pen, his repeated engagement prompted the unidentified agent to initiate the physical altercation, which was followed by the agent throwing Morris to the ground.”

This is a scene we can all look forward to under a President Trump. The hotel-owner and former reality TV host has given us endless rhetoric about the uselessness and bias of the media. Just a few days prior to this incident, Trump slammed the NY Times for writing negatively about him and promised to make problems for all media outlets who report his bigotry and xenophobia if elected.
“I’ll tell you what, I think the media is among the most dishonest groups of people I’ve ever met…I think The New York Times is one of the most dishonest media outlets I’ve ever seen in my life. The worst, the worst. The absolute worst. They have an agenda that you wouldn’t believe. And they’re run by incompetent people…and I’ve never said this before, but one of the things I’m going to do if I win — and I hope I do and we’re certainly leading — is I’m going to open up our libel laws so when they write purposely negative and horrible and false articles, we can sue them and win lots of money…so we’re going to open up those libel laws folks and we’re going to have people sue you like you never got sued before. We have many things to do. We have many, many things to do.”
