Earlier this year a 10 year old girl was rushed to the hospital after complaining of severe stomach pain. Doctors discovered then that she was pregnant. Police detectives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from the special victims unit spoke with the girl while she was at Broward Health Medical Center.
According to police, the man who is accused of getting the 10 year old pregnant is Raymond Vincent, a man who lived in Fort Lauderdale at the time of the rape and worked as a youth pastor.
Raymond Vincent, 46 years old, was tracked by the U.S. Marshals to Haiti. A spokesperson for the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, Detective Tracy Figone, said that Vincent was “expelled from Haiti” by the Haitian government. After flying him from Port-Au-Prince the marshals turned him over to Fort Lauderdale Police Department. Saturday morning a Broward County judge flatly denied his bond.
This isn’t the first time that Vincent has been accused of molesting a child, according to a Local 10 news station. In 2011 Raymond Vincent was accused of offering a young child food in order to lure her to his apartment. The victim said he molested her many times.
Vincent is charged with one count of lewd and lascivious conduct and one count of sexual battery on a child under 12 years old this past Friday, but authorities have reason to believe that he may have molested several other children when he worked in South Florida as a youth pastor.
