During an interview with CNN’s Ross Sorkin, Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, proved once and for all that, when it comes to hypocrisy, the Trump campaign is unmatched.
For starters, Conway accused Hillary Clinton of encouraging her supporters to boo FBI Director James Comey.
‘It’s a very dangerous precedent to have somebody that was secretary of state, first lady, U.S. senator, wants to be president of the United States and be commander-in-chief encouraging people to boo.’
Conway offered no evidence to support her claim, but, even if it is true, the Trump campaign has no room to complain about something as minor as booing. Donald Trump has constantly attacked President Obama, accused the FBI of being corrupt, and has encouraged violence against protesters.
As Sorkin pointed out, Trump has also promised to have Clinton arrested if he wins the election. In response, Conway argued that Trump’s promises were justified considering how “corrupt” Clinton is.
‘And where are we now? She is going to be in her second FBI investigation. One FBI investigation, let alone two, do we think this is normal? I think people have been asking the right questions about the wrong candidate. Who’s really unqualified? Who’s unfit to be president? Who has shown what they would do with their national security information? Who has shown it’s always about her and her petty peevish political self?’
In response, Sorkin pointed out that, regardless of who wins, both candidates are going to be facing legal problems after the election. Clinton still has the email issue to contend with and Trump is going to court over child rape charges this December.
‘My understanding is that no matter who wins, we’re going to be dealing with the email issue after this if she’s the president. If Donald Trump is the president, he’s got the child rape case that’s going to happen that was just given a date.’
Remarkably, Conway acted as if her candidate going to court for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl was a non-issue.
‘Oh, come on. That you would analogize the two. Give me a break.
…That’s such a ridiculous conflationTo just throw the rape word in there when we’ve got 650,000 emails based on an active investigation of Huma Abedin’s pedophilia husband because he’s sexting pictures of himself to some 15-year-old girl in North Carolina, I think that’s just ridiculous ‘
We actually agree with Conway on this one. It is ridiculous that anyone would attempt to compare these two. Clinton’s use of a private email server is nothing next to the fact that Trump allegedly raped a child. For Conway to act as if the use of a personal email server is even remotely comparable to raping a child is disturbing on more levels than one.
For the record, Trump’s court date is set for December 16. Let’s hope he isn’t the president-elect at that point.
