Hypocrisy is a beautiful thing, isn’t it?
Well, only if it ends up proving President-elect Trump to be the bonafide idiot that he truly is.
On Friday evening, Trump took to his favorite social media platform for yet another rant about the DNC hacks – as if another Twitter rant were going to make any sort of difference at all. A clearly heated Trump typed:
‘Gross negligence by the Democratic National Committee allowed hacking to take place. The Republican National Committee had strong defense!’

But as per usual, the Twitter community jumped on the orange-skinned loudmouth to point out the sheer irony that’s blatantly evident in his latest tweet.
Twitter user Janice Jhana Elks fired back at the President-elect to point out that his businesses aren’t immune to cyber attacks, either, and that he didn’t even bother to inform customers who had their credit card information stolen.
‘Your hotels were hacked twice last year and you were fined 50K for not informing your customers that their credit card info was stolen.’

The only difference between the DNC and The Donald?
Well, Trump seemingly didn’t give a crap about the hack that compromised his business, nor the fact that he was unable to ensure his customers private information was protected.
Back in September of 2016, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced that the Trump Hotel Collection would be required to pay $50,000 in fines after failing to inform approximately 70,000 hotel customers that their credit card numbers and similar personal data had been stolen by hackers.
Schneiderman told the press:
‘It is vital in this digital age that companies take all precautions to ensure that consumer information is protected, and that if a data breach occurs, it is reported promptly to our office, in accordance with state law. Consumers’ personal information [is] all too often exposed to wrongdoers with ill-intent.’
Clearly, the President-elect seems to have forgotten that he too, has been a victim of hacking. The only difference, however, is that he couldn’t have cared less about the repercussions of said hacking. Instead of informing his loyal hotel customers, Trump turned a blind eye to the entire ordeal. Fast forward several months and now he’s blaming the DNC for being “careless” and somehow allowing the hacks to take place.
‘Julian Assange said “a 14 year old could have hack Podesta” – why was DNC so careless? Also said Russians did not give him the info!’
