Outgoing RNC chair and incoming White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus was trotted out this morning on Fox News Sunday to speak with Chris Wallace on Trump being briefed about discoveries made during the investigation on Russia committing cyber attacks on the American government.

Wallace asked point-blank if President-elect Donald Trump actually accepted the findings that the Russians were behind the hacking activities. Priebus weaseled his way through the answer saying, “Well, sure. He’s not denying the entities in Russia were behind this particular hacking campaign.” He then went on to pivot expertly and blamed it all on the DNC, calling them a “sitting duck.”

‘Here’s what we have. We have the DNC as a sitting duck… It matters because if the DNC allows any foreign entity into their system and says, “Here. Here’s 50,000 emails. You can have them.. Well, voila! Now you have the biggest desemination of emails that we’ve ever seen in the history of America.’

Chris Wallace countered Reince Priebus asking him squarely who he blamed more, Putin and the Kremlin or the DNC. He asked, “Who’s the primary actor here?”

The RNC chair tried to get around naming Russia explicitly; however, he did finally answer as Wallace unrelentingly pressed him. Priebus did finally own up and spit out the word Russia.

However, it’s extremely difficult to believe that President-elect Trump accepts the results of the investigation considering he has previously tweeted,

‘Intelligence stated very strongly there was absolutely no evidence that hacking affected the election results. Voting machines not touched!’

And then:

‘Only reason the hacking of the poorly defended DNC is discussed is that the loss by the Dems was so big that they are totally embarrassed!’

Furthermore, it’s even harder to believe or accept the notion that Donald Trump appreciates and realizes the severity and danger behind the aggressive cyber attacks by the Russians when he’s tweeting pro-Russia tweets such as this doozy from yesterday:

‘Having a good relationship with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing. Only “stupid” people, or fools, would think that is bad! We have enough problems around the world without yet another one. When I am President, Russia will respect us far more than they do now and both countries will perhaps work together to solve some of the many great and pressing problems and issues of the WORLD!’
