Batman Himself Ben Affleck Comes Out Hard Against Donald Trump On ‘Kimmel Live’ (VIDEO)

Given the crowd’s reaction to Meryl Streep’s acceptance speech, it should come as no surprise that many Hollywood stars are coming to her defense. It’s clear that many in Hollywood, and in the rest of the country, have no patience for Donald Trump’s childish and inaccurate insults of Streep.

Of course, Trump is not the kind of person who takes criticism well. Very early on Monday morning, the president-elect took to Twitter to attack Streep calling her “overrated” and a “Hillary flunky.”

‘Meryl Streep, one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood, doesn’t know me but attacked last night at the Golden Globes. She is a…..

Hillary flunky who lost big. For the 100th time, I never “mocked” a disabled reporter (would never do that) but simply showed him…….

“groveling” when he totally changed a 16 year old story that he had written in order to make me look bad. Just more very dishonest media!’

To be clear, Trump did, in fact, mock a disabled reporter and his unwillingness to apologize for such vile behavior, combined with his recent attacks on Streep, are just some of the many reasons he is not fit to be president.

Many actors were upset over Trump’s behavior, and the latest to come to Streep’s defense is Ben Affleck. While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel LiveAffleck strongly denied Trump’s claims regarding Streep.

‘If there’s one thing, truly in the world we know it’s not true, it’s that Meryl Streep is overrated.’

Affleck went on to say that calling Streep “overrated” was like saying Ghandi was a “terrible leader.” Kimmel jokingly said that calling someone overrated was probably one of Trump’s nicer insults. Affleck agreed, but said, “But pick a better shot rather than the person whose photograph actually accompanies ‘Great Actress’ in the Encyclopedia.”

To be honest, we wouldn’t be surprised to find out that the reason Trump attacks so many actors is simply because their shows and movies are more popular than The Apprentice.
