Last month Tomi Lahren, a Conservative commentator, was on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show giving President Donald Trump kudos and making his ego bigger than it already was.
The Washingtonian reported on Thursday that after watching Hannity’s show featuring Lahren, the president took time out to call her and praise her for fairly covering him. Lahren mentioned that Trump also gave her a pat on the back for her evening commentary on the Blaze TV program she did leading up to the election, “Tomi.”
After the recordings of Trump (from the 2005 Access Hollywood tape) were leaked, Lahren began defending him whenever she could, even though the recordings were of Trump flaunting the fact that he fondled women without them giving permission. Lahren bragged:
‘I did a lot of work during the campaign that went viral.’
Having more than 663,000 followers on Twitter, Lahren stated she spoke with the president for a good 10 to 15 minutes on the phone. There are better things he could have spent that time on.
During the Hannity show from February 7th, Lahren mentioned that she had only started fully backing Trump when he became the primary candidate for the Conservative party.
During that segment the 24-year old told Hannity:
‘I didn’t [support him] from the outset. But the more I got involved with some of the campaign events, the more I heard President Trump speak, I got on board.’
Explaining why she chose to be a Trump supporter, she continued:
‘Because mostly, because I saw so many average, everyday Americans in law enforcement, the blue collar Americans, I saw them gravitating towards him. And I thought, this man is doing something amazing. He’s running against the Democratic party and, in some ways, the Republican party as well. And he won.’
Supposedly Trump keeps a close eye on Fox News and CNN. He watches the shows habitually, mostly Fox & Friends during the morning and primetime segments of both networks.
On Wednesday Trump interviewed twice with Fox News. Once with Tucker Carlson that aired Wednesday on Tucker Carlson Tonight and again with Jesse Watters, which the interview is scheduled to air Saturday on Watters World. Since August, Trump has not appeared as a guest on CNN.
