As you may have guessed, we just don’t know the reason.
Ivanka Trump was just granted security clearance and given a government communication device, however, the White House has not released the details of what new position she will hold in the Trump administration.
POLITICO reports the following:
“Ivanka Trump’s role, according to her attorney Jamie Gorelick, will be to serve as the president’s “eyes and ears” while providing broad-ranging advice, not just limited to women’s empowerment issues. Last week, for instance, Ivanka Trump raised eyebrows when she was seated next to Angela Merkel for the German chancellor’s first official visit to Trump’s White House.”

When Ivanka first said she was making a move to D.C., people whispered about the role she would be given in Trump’s White House, especially since it was obviously a game of favorites. Ivanka promised she would have no role in the administration, but that is increasingly less believable as days pass.
