Radical Evangelical Preacher Cast Out Of Church Welcomed Into Trump’s Cabinet

Bible in hand, members of Donald Trump’s cabinet head off to a weekly Bible study group held by radical evangelical Christian preacher Ralph Drollinger. Thrown out of his own church for bigotry and being too radical, the pastor wormed his way into the House and the Senate before slithering into Trump’s cabinet. What he wants next is scary.

The evangelical Christian behind the “Cabinet Member Bible Study” said this about Donald Trump, according to Fusion:

‘I want to win him to Christ….America’s in such desperate straits—especially economically—that if we don’t have almost a benevolent dictator to turn things around I just don’t think it’s gonna happen through our governance system right now.’

Drollinger has no concept of the separation of church and state. According to Fusion, he wrote:

‘It is safe to say that God is a Capitalist, not a Communist.’

The preacher calls Catholicism “the world’s largest false religion.” He says women working in Congress after bearing children are “sinners,” homosexuality is “an abomination,” and social welfare programs are “un-Christian.”

Drollinger is anti-Muslim, and one of his sponsors, Director of the CIA Mike Pompeo used the same apocalyptic wording in 2014, the Intercept wrote:

‘[Muslims] who deeply believe that Islam is the way and the light and the only answer. They abhor Christians, and will continue to press against us until we make sure that we pray and stand and fight and make sure that we know that Jesus Christ is our savior—is truly the only solution for our world.’

The preacher worked himself into Capitol Hill in 2010 with his weekly Congress member sessions, when dozens of members sponsored him, including the new House Intelligence Committee’s chair investigating Russia’s intervention in US Mike Conaway. Other sponsors were Devin Nunes, Mike Pence, Pompeo, Tom Price, and Jeff Sessions.

Right before the inauguration, former representative Price held a breakfast to introduce Drollinger to others. The preacher said 14 members were interested in his Bible study, which he calls a “para-church ministry.”

Drollinger’s Capitol Ministries wrote on its literature that the following people sponsored his cabinet Bible study, Fusion reported :

‘Vice President Mike Pence, HUD Secretary Ben Carson, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Energy Secretary Rick Perry, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, CIA Director Mike Pompeo, nominee for Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue, HHS Secretary Tom Price, and Scott Pruitt, head of the Environmental Protection Agency.’

The preacher says his mission is a “factory” to turn out politicians like Michele Bachmann, who is on his board. Fusion reported what he said about her:

‘She thinks Biblically. She doesn’t need a whole lot of time to figure out how to vote because she sees the world through a scriptural lens. We need more men and women like her in office.’

The preacher recently argued climate change cannot exist, because God promised he would never do anything like that after the flood. In that flood, the Bible said it rained 40 days and 40 nights.

Drollinger wants to open “hundreds of offices abroad” using his “network of government officials. He told Christian medium CBN.com:

‘We have so many U.S. Senators who love Christ, who are in tow with our ministry, that are saying, “I’ll go overseas to use my platform to open doors in foreign, federal capitols.”‘

God forbid.
