The protesters in Brussels, Belgium finally got their wish. President Trump has left their city. He arrived in Taormina, Italy on Thursday afternoon, as he was sure to let everyone know via Twitter.
Trump tweeted a video of himself and his wife, Melania Trump, exiting Air Force One along with the following caption:
‘Just arrived in Taormina with @FLOTUS Melania. #G7Summit #USA’
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 25, 2017
President Trump is in Taormina to attend the G7 Summit, an annual meeting attended by the leaders of the seven countries that are considered the most developed in the world. The other six countries represented in this meeting are France, Italy, Japan, Western Germany, Britain, and Canada.
His tweet was a lot less controversial than many other messages he’s shared, but, as is to be expected, Trump has already received a significant amount of criticism from his followers.
The general consensus among many commenters is that Trump should remain abroad.

Which allies will you alienate now? Will Melania hold your hand?

Meanwhile, a few others made sure the president was aware of what his son-in-law is dealing with back home.

Trump might be enjoying his time overseas, but his problems back home only seem to be getting worse.
