Sean Spicer is no longer going to represent the White House as press secretary, and he is actively searching for his own replacement. The change is apparently meant to “shake up” the current communication reps employed by the White House.
According to POLITICO:
“Last week, Spicer and White House chief of staff Reince Priebus reached out to Fox News personality Laura Ingraham about the role of press secretary and Daily Mail editor David Martosko about the role of communications director, according to a White House official.”
This is not the first time Spicer was threatened with termination, deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was also said to have been the one to replace Spicer after an incident when Spicer hid from reporters in a bush and refused to come out.
Huckabee Sanders had this to say about the change up:
“We have sought input from many people as we look to expand our communications operation,” said White House deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. “As he did in the beginning, Sean Spicer is managing both the communications and press office.”
Spicer is apparently trying for a more advanced position is White House communications, leading Americans to believe that Donald Trump has never handled the hiring for any of his companies.
Why else would he promote someone who has proven to be extremely bad at communicating to head up the communications department of the White House?
Just luck, I reckon.
