As we’ve reported earlier, we all know CNN has been having a rough time. With tweets from President Donald Trump that advocate violence towards the news network and regular temper tantrums directed at CNN, they are not the top favorite news network of Trump supporters by any means.
However, Trump supporters took it a step further on the cesspit of the Internet, Reddit. In a Reddit post submitted 15 hours ago, user EthicalFunTime posted an image of a burned out building with the title “CNN HQ, soon. Soon.”
The submission was posted in the subreddit Physical_Removal, which describes itself as, “The #1 place to go on the internet to discuss Hans-Hermann Hoppe’s idea of ‘physical removal.'”
Hans-Hermann Hoppe is the libertarian anarcho-capitalist philosopher who wrote Democracy: The God That Failed. In his book, he argued for the limitation of free speech in convent-like societies, spewed anti-LGBTQ rhetoric, and preached the idea of physically removing undesirable individuals from society. He argued:
‘…in a covenant founded for the purpose of protecting family and kin, there can be no tolerance toward those habitually promoting lifestyles incompatible with this goal. They – the advocates of alternative, non-family and kin-centered lifestyles such as, for instance, individual hedonism, parasitism, nature-environment worship, homosexuality, or communism – will have to be physically removed from society, too, if one is to maintain a libertarian order.’
Basically, physically remove all the gays, environmentalists, and anyone who doesn’t follow the strict order of his cooked up society. Hoppe also believes homosexuality is a “perversity or abnormality.”
What’s truly scary is that this is not a philosopher from ages ago. The guy is actually 67 years old and is a professor at the University of Nevada.
Funnily enough, the subreddit’s “About Us” section on the page stated they “…are not advocates of starting any conflict.” Also, the beliefs in the group were meant to be “purely DEFENSIVE, and for the PROTECTION & SECURITY of individuals, private property, and free western culture.”
The hilarious part of the subreddit is where they stated it is a place for “…people who wish to preserve and defend the concepts of… free speech…” However, Hoppe wrote in his book that there was “…no such thing as a right to free (unlimited) speech…”
Another post by the user EthicalFunTime read:
‘I fully admit I’m a sadist, and that I can’t wait for the left to lose all right to exist so I can freely and legally butcher them.’
He also posted a picture of a brazen bull, which was a torture device used in ancient Greece. He called it a “leftist removal device.” A person was locked inside the metal contraption designed to look like a bull and then a fire was set underneath. As the metal grew hotter, the person inside would be “roasted to death.”
