Trump Makes A Fool Of Himself While Meeting With Mexico’s President (VIDEO)

United States President Donald Trump had his very first meeting with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto since taking office, on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Hamburg, Germany. Trump had a meeting scheduled with President Nieto in the early months of his presidency, but due to disagreements over Trump’s border wall, it was cancelled.

In the past, Trump has made it his mission to have everyone believe that the funds for his proposed border wall along the southern border would be coming from Mexico. Apparently, Trump still carries this mindset, despite the fact that the Mexican President has stated on multiple occasions that there is no way Mexico will be paying for the wall.

During Trump’s meeting with Nieto a reporter asked Trump if he still expects Mexico to foot the bill for the wall. Trump responded, “Absolutely.” Shouted questions from reporters followed Trump’s response to the question about the wall, so it is not clear if Pena Nieto responded to Trump’s comment, or if he just let it slide.

Trump also said that he considers the President of Mexico a “friend.” All Nieto had to say on Trump was that he hopes to continue a “flowing dialogue.”

Users on Twitter did not hesitate to put their two cents into the president’s comment regarding the wall at the summit.
