Secret Service Just Responded To Trump Lawyer’s Claim They Let Meeting Happen

-

President Trump’s lawyer, Jay Sekulow, went on ABC’s ‘This Week’ to try and dissolve any of the tarnish staining the Trump Administration since the news of Trump Jr.’s bombshell meeting with a Russian attorney who had information damaging to Hillary Clinton’s life and career. The goal of this meeting was to smear Hillary Clinton out of the Oval Office seat, but according to Trump’s butt-kissing lawyer, the meeting couldn’t have been shady because:

“If this was nefarious, why’d the Secret Service allow these people in?”

Seems like a valid question, right?

Wrong.

He continued:

“The president had Secret Service protection at that point. That raised a question with me.”

The Secret Service has now responded to Sekulow’s ridiculous scapegoating routine with a very simple dose of common sense via Reuters:

“Donald Trump, Jr. was not a protectee of the USSS in June, 2016. Thus we would not have screened anyone he was meeting with at that time.”

Sekulow either doesn’t know what he’s talking about, or he is lying through his teeth to protect the Trump family from further scandal. Either way, it is unethical, and cannot be allowed to continue. If America allows Trump to continue his ridiculous reign, it will open the door to even less ignorant and more dangerous tyrants to take over.

That simply cannot be allowed.

You have to stand for something, America.
