A burglary has been reported at the office of a Republican Senator right in the middle of the healthcare vote, and a note was left behind for the politician. Nevada Senator Dean Heller’s office was broken into Sunday, and it’s been confirmed that the note delivered a direct threat to Heller.
According to 8 News NOW out of Las Vegas:
“The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirms there was an entry made to the offices located at 8930 W. Sunset which is the location of Sen. Heller’s office. LVMPD would not confirm the information about the threatening note.”
Threatening a Senator is a federal offense that could mean serious consequences, should the perpetrator ever be found. 8 News NOW reached out to the FBI, as well as the Senator’s office, but was turned down for an interview.
The Senator’s office responded by saying that they could not comment on an ongoing investigation.
Senator Heller’s healthcare approval could swing the entire vote, devastating the nation in its wake.
