When soon-to-be Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci stepped up to the podium that first day, he gave off a calm demeanor. Despite promising to fire everyone on his team for leaks, he seemed to remain calm. However, after a series of troubling interviews, we were beginning to worry about his well being and his friendship with White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus.
We are definitely worried now after it broke that Scaramucci called The New Yorker’s Ryan Lizza and completely lost it on the phone regarding leaks, Priebus, and Bannon. He came in confident; however, it seems Scaramucci is beginning to find out it’s going to be a whole lot harder to shake up the White House than he planned.
In response to a tweet Lizza posted regarding a dinner the president was having with Sean Hannity and former Fox News big wig Bill Shine, Scaramucci called Lizza up and ripped him a new one, demanding to know who leaked the information to Lizza.
‘”Who leaked that to you?” he asked. I said I couldn’t give him that information. He responded by threatening to fire the entire White House communications staff. “What I’m going to do is, I will eliminate everyone in the comms team and we’ll start over,” he said. I laughed, not sure if he really believe that such a threat would convince a journalist to reveal a source.’
Furthermore, Lizza wrote that Scaramucci complained about his job.
‘I ask these guys not to leak anything and they can’t help themselves. You’re an American citizen, this is a major catastrophe for the American country. So I’m asking you as an American patriot to give me a sense of who leaked it.’
Lizza reported further that Scaramucci has become paranoid and believed he was being plotted against, especially by Priebus. Furthermore, he wrote that Scaramucci has become obsessed with the problem of leaks dripping from the communications team.
He also blamed Priebus for any negative media attention he has received. We can promise you Scaramucci, Priebus had nothing to do with this article.
Scaramucci did not accept Lizza’s refusal to give up his source, and continued to press him for information.
‘Is it an assistant to the President… O.K., I’m going to fire every one of them, and then you haven’t protected anybody, so the entire place will be fired over the next two weeks.’
‘They’ll all be fired by me. I fired one guy the other day. I have three to four people I’ll fire tomorrow. I’ll get to the person who leaked that to you. Reince Priebus-if you want to leak something-he’ll be asked to resign very shortly.’
He then went on to describe Priebus quite poignantly.
‘Reince is a f*cking paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac.’
He then pretended to be Priebus and mocked him.
‘Oh, Bill Shine is coming in. Let me leak the f*cking thing and see if I can c*ck-block these people the way I c*ck-blocked Scaramucci for six months.’
Even better, he went on to speak in third person to Lizza on the subject of his financial disclosures and then went on a tirade about the entire staff being against him.
‘The swamp will not defeat him. They’re trying to resist me, but it’s not going to work. I’ve done nothing wrong on my financial disclosures, so they’re going to have to go f*ck themselves.’
Priebus wasn’t Scaramucci’s only target in the phone call. He went on a tear about senior adviser Steve Bannon.
‘I’m not Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own c*ck. I’m not trying to build my own brand off the f*cking strength of the President. I’m here to serve the country.’
He then went on to make some serious comments that involved homicide.
‘What I want to do is I want to f*cking kill all the leakers and I want to get the President’s agenda on track so we can succeed for the American people.’
Scaramucci may be trying to impress his president; however, he may need to bring it down a notch before he gets charged with making terroristic threats.
Scaramucci did respond to the article, tweeting:
‘I sometimes use colorful language. I will refrain in this arena but not give up the passionate fight for @realDonaldTrump’s agenda. #MAGA’
— Anthony Scaramucci (@Scaramucci) July 27, 2017
Colorful language is one thing. Saying the senior adviser to the president likes to suck his own c*ck is on a whole other level, however.
