General James Mattis is fed up with Trump talking out of the side of his neck. He just responded to Trump’s latest ridiculousness on Twitter Wednesday morning when he said that “talking” with North Korea is not the answer.
The war monger tweeted the following:
The U.S. has been talking to North Korea, and paying them extortion money, for 25 years. Talking is not the answer!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 30, 2017
General Mattis isn’t having it, saying just the opposite when pressed by reporters to respond to the tweet. Mattis’ response speaks volumes and draws a clear line in the sand. Trump will certainly see this as a betrayal:
“We’re never out of diplomatic solutions. We continue to work together and the minister and I share responsibility to provide for the protection of our nation our populations and our interests, which is what we are here to discuss today.”
“And look for all the areas we can collaborate – there is already very strong collaboration, we always look for more, we are never complacent.”
Mattis appears to be on the same page as Rex Tillerson, who just days ago said:
“We continue to want the Kim [Jong Un] regime to understand there is a different path he can choose. There is a unified international voice echoing our message that no one wants to see a nuclearized Korean peninsula, so we’re all unified in our message to see a denuclearized Korean peninsula. We hope for the opportunity to engage with them as to how we might achieve that.”
The president doesn’t believe talking issues over could result in the kind of outcome he would like to see because he knows America’s ignorant hatefuls want to see bloodshed. Trump’s need to satisfy his fanbase will literally kill people if he is not stopped.
Trump expected to respond momentarily.
