Everyone in their right mind misses President Barack Obama over the incompetent, con man who now resides at the White House — and it isn’t hard to remember why. In fact, Barack Obama as a citizen has more class, grace and tact in his little finger than the entire Trump family could even dream about having in their whole plastic bodies.
On this sixteenth anniversary of the 9/11 terror attack, politicians past and present are speaking out attempting to unify the American population and remind everyone that with strength and courage, this country has and will continue to move forwards. However, under the dividing reign of President Donald Trump, that is a hard message for many to believe whole-heartedly anymore.
Indeed, even Donald Trump spoke about unity and sought to honor first responders and other Americans who worked tirelessly in the aftermath of 9/11 for their country … but something was decidedly missing. Firstly, it seemed as though this is the first speech Trump didn’t go off script, because he actually came across as semi-intelligent. Then there’s the issue that, in order for his speech to resonate with any American heart, one must believe that his words were sincere. Trump’s actions have proven he is not just profoundly insincere but he’s a conniving narcissist, and for that reason, he may as well have stayed home.
The fact that he even had the audacity to stand in front of the country and pretend that he gives a damn about 9/11 or the families who lost their loved ones that day, is abhorrent. This is a president who was just uncovered accepting gifts and the like, from the Saudi Arabian government — that is, Saudi Arabia where the vast majority of the 9/11 hijackers hailed from. Let that sink in.
Thankfully, America still has the Obamas as an unwavering beacon of hope — it’s just unfortunate they now inspire us as private citizens more than our president.
Barack wrote, simply:
‘We remember everyone we lost on 9/11 and honor all who defend our country and our ideals. No act of terror will ever change who we are.’
