It’s been a year since Donald Trump was elected to the presidency, and in that year, millions of people have found themselves in harm’s way, thanks to our belligerent, incompetent commander-in-chief. He’s gone from threatening people’s health care through his “TrumpCare” proposal to threatening people’s safety and security through his relentless antagonizing of North Korea.
Although Trump won the presidency, more Americans voted against him than voted for him, and it’s not as though these millions of Americans have been won over to his side in the months since Trump took office.
Trump’s approval rating currently sits solidly at less than 40 percent; it’s the lowest recorded for any modern president at this point in their tenure.
A number of Americans decided to have a morbid joke of an event to mark the one year anniversary of Donald Trump’s election; catching on across the country, people turned out for something that in Boston was called, “Scream helplessly at the sky on the anniversary of the election.”
There is, of course, a serious side to these events; as activist Johanna Schulman put it to Newsweek:
‘This administration has attacked everything about what it means to be American. Who wouldn’t feel helpless every day? Coming together reminds us that we are not alone, that we are part of an enormous community of activists who are motivated and angry, whose actions can make a difference.’
Fox News host Jesse Watters attended the “Scream at the Sky” event in New York, and this week, Fox aired a clip of his interactions with some of those at this event.
After letting a couple people scream into his microphone, he got to a third guy, who, like the rest, screamed, after which time Watters asked him if he “felt better.”
The man quipped, “Somewhat.”
Watters then shot back, asking him if he wanted a pacifier.
The unidentified man’s response to Watters, who claims that he didn’t identify himself as with Fox News, was to say, “Go fuck yourself.”
In the wake of a seemingly never-ending stream of nonsense from Fox, a network which routinely presents biased viewpoints as “news,” “Go fuck yourself!” is no doubt what a lot of us would say to a Fox host, if given the opportunity.
Fox has been revealed throughout recent months to be an extremely toxic work environment, fostering sexual harassment carried out by leading males against their female coworkers. Among the outed perpetrators of sexual harassment at Fox are Bill O’Reilly, Eric Bolling, and the now-deceased Roger Ailes.
Just this week, Fox News’ Sean Hannity — who has faced allegations of inappropriate behavior in the past — hosted someone on his show who peddled the lie that women often lie about being victims of sexual harassment and assault.
Fox News legal analyst Mercedes Colwin said that “real” victims of sexual misconduct are “few and far between.”

This isn’t the first time that Watters has been involved with some nonsense like this; last year, he mockingly “interviewed” Asian-Americans about their takes on national politics following one of the presidential debates.
Watch Ronny Chieng of The Daily Show take down Watters’ ridiculously racist mocking of Asian Americans below.
Through all of this, Fox remains the president’s favorite “news” outlet.
Trump routinely live-tweets the network’s morning program, Fox & Friends, and he never includes the network in his relentless attacks on the media.
