Image Of Trump Shaking World Leaders’ Hands Goes Viral & The Reason Will Make You WTF

-

Donald Trump is not the smartest guy. He just might be the most awkward, though.

Known for his extreme handshakes, which often include holding on way too long or trying to overpower the person he’s greeting, Trump just upped the ante by moronically struggling to figure out a traditional group handshake at the ASEAN summit (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), and social media can’t get enough. See below:

The video is, if possible, even more awkward than the still photos:

His problem seems to be that there’s no way to “win” a handshake with two people. Many of those on social media took the opportunity to mock Trump for looking like an overgrown child, or alternatively, to criticize his appearance with Duterte, who orders the murders of his own citizens and is one of Trump’s favorite dictators:

Of course, this is far from the first time he hasn’t been able to figure out a simple handshake:

Thousands of Philippine citizens protested Trump at the start of the ASEAN summit, battling water cannons turned on them by police forces in order to make their voices heard:

Donald Trump is a constant embarrassment to our nation, and on top of that, he continually sends a message to the dictators and strongmen of the world that they can continue brutally repressing their people without fear of reprisal. Yet again, he has wasted an opportunity to make a strong statement when it comes to championing human rights on behalf of our nation. From NPR:

However, Duterte’s spokesman, Harry Roque, told reporters in Manila that the issue of human rights was not discussed even as the Philippine leader explained his anti-drug policy at length to Trump, who “seemed to be appreciative of his efforts.”

“Anti-drug policy” means “state sanctioned murder of thousands of people without formal charges or trial.” Duterte also hopped up on stage to sing Donald a love song (seriously). Here’s the video:

If the United States wants to regain our standing in the world, we need calm, competent leadership. Donald Trump is not a leader. He’s just an occupant of the White House, and a dangerous and embarrassing one at that. If Republicans had any degree of patriotism left at all, they would do the right thing and remove this incompetent from office.
