Trump Passes The Blame For Self-Incriminating Tweet – Claims He Didn’t Write It (DETAILS)

-

On Friday, to the shock and dismay of some, former National Security Director Michael Flynn pleaded guilty on the charge that he lied to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Part of the deal is that he will also cooperate with the Russia inquiry. Around the Thanksgiving holiday, Flynn’s legal team had notified Trump’s attorneys that they would no longer be discussing the Russia investigation with them, which was an early sign that Flynn was probably working out a plea deal with Mueller and was about to flip soon.

Many people now realize that Flynn holds a great deal of information regarding the Russia investigation and he may drop a bombshell soon that will eventually lead to Trump’s indictment and impeachment. However, it looks as if now Trump’s attorneys are making it worse for him too.

According to The Washington Post:

‘The plea deal marks the first time Mueller’s investigation has incriminated someone who worked in the White House and who was personally close to Trump. Unlike previous charges against top Trump campaign aides Paul Manafort and Rick Gates, this charge involved actions taken during the Trump transition.’

On Saturday afternoon, Trump took to Twitter to try to make himself look good in light of Flynn’s plea deal, but it backfired on him in a grand way.

Read that tweet very closely again. Yes, President Trump just basically incriminated himself. According to The Washington Post:

‘Trump’s tweet indicates he knew that Flynn lied to the FBI when he fired him, but that wasn’t reported by The Washington Post until three days after his dismissal. At the time, Trump cited only that Flynn had misled Vice President Pence.’

What is really insane is the fact that Trump’s lawyer, John Dowd, actually crafted that tweet. It is not really clear if Trump just hired an idiot to represent him or if the guy really hates him deep down too. That admission is serious though and means that Trump could be guilty of obstruction of justice.

The Washington Post reported:

‘Flynn admitted he was not truthful when asked by the FBI on Jan. 24 about those interactions — and that officials on the president’s transition team, including a “very senior member,” knew that he had talked to the Russian ambassador.’

The Post wrote:

‘That member, who was not identified, directed Flynn to contact officials from foreign governments, including Russia, about the U.N. resolution and told him that blocking it was Trump’s top priority, court records say. People familiar with the matter told The Post that that official is the president’s son-in-law and top White House adviser, Jared Kushner.’

Flynn also said that he spoke with another official on the transition team before he talked to Kislyak about the U.S. sanctions on December 29, 2016. Although his name isn’t mentioned in court records, sources have revealed that the person is K.T. McFarland who is now a nominee for U.S. ambassador to Singapore.

Flynn was offered a fairly lenient deal so the question is “What exactly did he offer to Mueller in exchange for that guilty plea?” It had to be pretty substantial. Mueller keeps getting closer and closer the top.

Here is what Twitter had to say about Trump and his incompetent attorney:
