There’s one thing we’ve always known about President Donald Trump. He thinks of himself highly. However, for someone who thinks so highly of himself, his moral integrity is in the red. The man was caught on tape admitting to sexually assaulting women for goodness’ sake.
Sadly, his supporters, even the evangelical Christians, for whatever reason, don’t seem to see that. Part of that can be blamed on White House counselor Kellyanne Conway and her affinity for spouting off bold-faced lies.
Conway made the morning rounds on the news shows to defend the president and his nonexistent morality. What she had to say was almost jaw-dropping, too. She appeared on New Day and spoke with Chris Cuomo and actually said the president has “tremendous moral standards.” If you spit your beverage out at the ridiculousness of that statement, we apologize.
‘The president has said the following: the allegations are troubling, Roy Moore has denied them, the president said they’re 40 years old.
‘Nobody came forward before, the guy’s been on the ballot many times, Doug Jones is a liberal Democrat the president has said, and he doesn’t want a liberal Democrat representing Alabama in the United States Senate.’

Trump recently endorsed Roy Moore, the Republican candidate for the Alabama Senate seat.
That endorsement came despite the fact multiple women had come forward with accusations that Moore sexually assaulted them when they were under the age of 18. He was in his 30s. Many Republicans have denounced Moore and have called for him to suspend his campaign. He’s stubbornly moved forward, and the president has never stopped supporting him.
Cuomo destroyed Conway for her remarks in the back and forth.
Though we can’t agree with all their political beliefs, thank goodness for people like Senator Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) who actually has a sense of morals. Flake recently tweeted a photo of a campaign contribution of $100 made out to the Doug Jones campaign. Jones, of course, is the Democratic opponent.
We’re not sure how Conway can go on air and actually say such things about Trump. Conway is the mother of daughters. Decades-old allegations or not, how can she even live with herself knowing she’s supported a possible pervert who preys on children? Conway must draw the line at some point. She’s a woman with daughters, who will grow up to be women. They deserve a better world and social climate than what we have now.
