Trump Just Humiliated The Nation While Trying To Pay Respects To First Responders

-

After he finished up his golf game, President Trump paid a trip to a Florida group of first responders at West Palm Beach Fire and Rescue. Although the intended reason for the visit was to thank the first responders for their service, Trump managed to turn the conversation back to him and the recently passed GOP tax-cut plan.

While speaking to four dozen West Palm Beach first responders the president excitedly told those in attendance that they would be able to “go back and watch yourselves on television.”

‘You did a fantastic job so we just wanted to thank you very much.’

After the delivering a brief “thank you” to the small crowd, Trump redirected the conversation to the passing of the GOP tax-cut bill, which passed just ahead of the holiday season.

‘We took a big, big beautiful ship that we’re turning around and a lot of good things are happening.’

Trump also felt that he’s passed “a lot of legislation” since entering the White House, glibly noting:

‘I believe — and you would have to ask those folks who will know the real answer — we have more legislation passed, including the record was [former president] Harry Truman a long time ago. And we broke that record, so we got a lot done.’

Trump also wanted to make sure he got in some commentary on the stock market, which he believes is entirely his accomplishment:

‘So that’s something you can all be proud of. That makes you all look very smart. And your families say, “boy are you a great investor, right?” When you have your numbers go up and your stocks go up, and everything else. We have the all-time record for stopping ridiculous regulations, and we’re very proud of that, that’s one of the reasons stocks are up to a record level.’

The president then insisted that under the Obama administration police departments had a “depleted” amount of military equipment, adding that he was rebuilding the military. Militarized police, apparently, are important to the formal real estate mogul.

‘Now you have the best military equipment and you’re able to use it for the police force.’

The president tweeted about his visit afterward:
