Trump Wakes Up In Confused Mental State, Gets Swindled By Fox News So Hard It Hurts

-

Mr. Trump apparently awoke to a confusing Thursday morning when he went on Twitter, trying to figure out how the government works . These days, Trump isn’t well-known as an intelligent rational being, although in a recent tweet, he insisted that he’s a “very stable genius”:

‘I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius….and a very stable genius at that!’

On Thursday, Trump took a break from his morning executive time, and turned on Fox News. The host was urging Trump to oppose the House bill reauthorizing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). According to New York Magazine:

‘The president immediately tweeted out his alarmed confusion that the House was apparently on the verge of approving the very law the sinister Deep State had used to “tapp” his phones’

Trump’s acts of confusion just further show the American public and the rest the world that he is not fit to do the job of the president of the United States. According to New York Magazine:

‘Why, yes, it is that bill. Ideally, Trump would be posing questions like this to his own advisers, rather than to the entire world. The president’s alarm was unfortunate, since the Trump administration strongly supports reauthorization of this law. It has sent its highest-ranking security officials to lobby Congress for reauthorization, and reiterated its endorsement of the law as recently as last night.’

Perhaps, Trump’s confusion is related to the fact that he is taking seriously the talking points of the Deep State. However, what he doesn’t realize is that this is propaganda being used to try to cover up the wrongdoings of his campaign. Jonathan Chait writes:

‘Republicans don’t actually object to the counterintelligence functions of the government as a whole. They merely want to discredit their specific application to the Trump campaign’s collusion with Russia. They don’t want the president blowing up the bill right before the vote they labored carefully to assemble.’

Many people including both Republicans and Democrats are questioning Trump’s mental stability these days. According to New York Magazine:

‘Trump staged a meeting with Congress to discuss immigration policy. Other than an unfortunate moment where he endorsed a Democratic proposal that’s totally at odds with his own putative stance and completely unacceptable to his party, Trump completed the occasion without further embarrassment. The conservative media proclaimed the event proof of the president’s absolute mastery.’

Rush Limbaugh said:

‘It was a brilliantly conceived and flawlessly executed rebuttal to this stupid Wolff book. [Trump]’s in total command of over 45 minutes of televised meeting on immigration. He is totally informed on the issues.’

Wall Street columnist Daniel Henninger said about the meeting:

‘Mr. Trump presided over this meeting like some previously undiscovered Buddha. He talked but didn’t dominate. He methodically elicited views from Republicans (among them Lindsey Graham, Kevin McCarthy, David Perdue, and Carlos Curbelo ) and Democrats … a grudging consensus formed that Mr. Trump had confounded critics of his basic competence.’

Although the immigration meeting might have been seen as a success for him, Thursday morning’s blunder is just showing people that he really doesn’t understand his own administration or how the government works in general.

This is what Twitter had to say about Trump’s tweet:
