Trump W.H. Can’t Figure Out How Phones Work During Hilarious Conference Call

Reporters have had a raw deal when it comes to the Trump White House since day one, but the leash they’re kept on is getting shorter every day. During a White House conference call on Iran reporters got fed up with the incompetence of the Trump administration, resulting in an explosive exchange when the Trump staff couldn’t figure out how to use the “listening only” feature. Despite the calm, impartial demeanor displayed by the professionals typically, they did not hold back their true feelings.

CBS News reported that after a grueling 22 minutes of White House staff attempting to work the West Wing phones, they still couldn’t figure out how to enable the “listening only” feature, causing a tense situation when reporters grew tired of the stupid delay.

While unmuted, one reporter said:

‘This White House can’t even run a f*cking conference call. They don’t know how to mute their line.’

A yet to be identified White House official responed:

‘It’s the illegitimate media that doesn’t know how to conduct themselves. They can’t mute their f*cking phones. Mute your phones.’

Another unidentified White House official told the reporters to be quiet “so the people in charge” would be able to talk.

She said:

‘I think if everyone had half a brain and common sense and muted their phones, this wouldn’t be a problem.’

One reporter started in 15 minutes after the call was supposed to begin:

‘Hello? Hello? Has the call started?’

Another tried to cut the tension with a joke, saying:

‘This is Kim Jong Un calling for Donald Trump.’

Reportedly, at the end of the call, a State Department official said that due to technical difficulties it would be impossible for the senior administration officials to take questions.

Several reporters even, in a hilarious turn of events, live tweeted the conference call experience:

Below are some of the top reactions to the Trump staff’s blunder:

This, by far, isn’t the first ridiculous blunder to go down with Press and Trump White House officials. Sean Spicer famously hid in the bushes to avoid doing his job, at the time, resulting in a hilarious parody by the TV show Saturday Night Live.
