BREAKING: House Intel Committee Drops Collusion & Obstruction Evidence Bombshell

Whether the president likes it or not, it’s a long established fact at this point that the Russia probe is continuing. Special Counsel Robert Mueller has so far brought charges against four former associates of the president and has been reported recently to be seeking a sit-down with the commander-in-chief himself.

There are separate, concurrent investigations being carried out by a handful of Congressional committees, in addition to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe, and this week, there’s a new development in one of those Congressional probes.

Democrat and ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee Adam Schiff indicated to reporters on Wednesday that his committee has seen evidence of collusion with Russia on the part of the Trump team, obstruction of justice, and money laundering, including information that’s not yet been made publicly available.

He said:

‘There is certainly an abundance of non-public information that we’ve gathered in the investigation. And I think some of that non-public evidence is evidence on the issue of collusion and some… on the issue of obstruction.’

Adding comments about the alleged money laundering, the California Democrat bemoaned his committee’s inability to follow the evidence, saying:

‘As a former prosecutor, you follow the money. We have not been able to adequately follow the money. And I think the allegations on money laundering are credible enough that we ought to, in the exercise of due diligence, see if this was one of the other vectors of the Russian active measures campaign.’

Allegations of money laundering against members of the Trump team are, of course, not entirely new. The president’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, and his associate Rick Gates have faced such charges.

Neither is it new for Schiff to bemoan his committee’s investigation being paralyzed. Infamously, the committee recently struggled to get any testimony at all out of former Trump associate Steve Bannon, who had allegedly been put under a gag order by the White House.

Trump, of course, has long denied any wrongdoing in connection to the Russia scandal, repeatedly referring to the whole thing as a “witch hunt.”
