Kellyanne Conway’s Alma Mater Exposed Her Lies; Her Bitter Response Is Insane

Kellyanne Conway has sickened even her own university with her alternative facts. It is incredibly rare for universities to come down hard on their alumnae. Still, the president of Conway’s alma mater had more than a few powerfully sharp words for this counselor to Donald Trump.

The Washington Post reported that Patricia McGuire wrote:

‘Presidential Counselor Kellyanne Conway, Trinity Class of 1989, has played a large role in facilitating the manipulation of facts and encouraging the grave injustice being perpetrated by the Trump Administration’s war on immigrants among many other issues.’

The small Catholic women’s college in northeast Washington has had quite a few famous graduates shattering glass ceilings. Former Obama administration Health and Human Services secretary and Kansas governor, Kathleen Sebelius, is an alumna. The first female speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is also among their alumnae.

Then there was Conway.

Conway told the Washington Post:

‘It’s a disappointment to have the president of the university lift up other Trinity graduates who have a casual relationship with the truth attack me, and never have the courtesy of calling or emailing me to ask what I meant on any given occasion.’

It was hardly necessary for McGuire to contact the president’s counselor, because she has splattered herself across the network news month after month.

In an era when women are still bouncing against that glass ceiling, they tend to stick together. Women have more power to break down the traditionally male strongholds when they work as a group, rather than individually.

Conway said that McGuire asked for donations to Trinity, and she and her husband contributed $50,000 for a 1999-2002 Trinity fundraising campaign.

The president’s counselor appeared disappointed that her university criticized her, saying that Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager treated her better.

McGuire said that the issue was Conway’s lies. Certainly, the counselor has liberally spread falsehoods, such as the fictitious Bowling Green Massacre. The Washington Post wrote about McGuire’s comment:

‘People can agree or disagree around national policy or domestic policy. You can have a raging debate about Obamacare … But when you lie so consistently as this administration does, that’s a moral issue. We are teachers. We have an honor system here. We believe deeply in upholding the value of truth. … it’s urgent not to be shy about it.’

The truth is always welcome in this era of alternative facts.
