Mr. Trump’s Twitter rants this past week have escalated into full on craziness. He began his week on Monday tweeting about how the FBI raid on his attorney, Michael Cohen, was “A TOTAL WITCH HUNT!” He then whined about how attorney-client privilege is dead. By mid- week, Trump was still insisting that there was no Russian collusion, and by Friday was raging about former FBI director James Comey.
It looks like #45 isn’t stopping his wild Twitter tirade either. On Sunday, he used the Rasmussen Poll as an attempt to spotlight himself. He tweeted:
On Friday, Rasmussen Reports released their latest poll showing that 50 percent of likely U.S. voters approve of Mr. Trump’s job performance. The percentage of those who disapprove is 49 percent. According to Rasmussen:
‘The latest figures include 34% who Strongly Approve of the way Trump is performing and 40% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -6.’
Clearly, this doesn’t mean what the president thinks it means. The majority of America doesn’t love and worship him as he would probably like to think. Rasmussen is currently the only poll that tracks presidential job approval ratings on a daily basis.
Twitter quickly responded to Mr. Trump’s serenade of himself, including some of his delusional supporters:
Of course, it isn’t surprising that Trump would take any opportunity possible to brag on himself. Perhaps, it’s half-way impressive this time that he didn’t actually make up the facts although they aren’t too glamoring. Stay tuned for Mr. Trump’s next half-baked rant tomorrow, which will probably be about James Comey again. He can’t give it up.
