In a startling development, it appears that Donald Trump sent his former bodyguard, Keith Schiller, and attorney, Alan Garten on a mission. They showed up at his former doctor’s, Dr. Harold Bornstein’s, office and raided all his medical records. What were they hoping to find?
Last February, Schiller and Trump Organization attorney, Garten, appeared at the doctor’s office along with an unidentified third man. They took all of the files Borstein had on the president, and even went so far as to have him take down a photo on the wall featuring the doctor and Trump.
Borstein told NBC News the event was a “raid,” and it was frightening:
‘They must have been here for 25 or 30 minutes. It created a lot of chaos.’
The three men showed up without the HIPPA release form that authorized Borstein to release the president’s records. That was a violation of the patient privacy law, and a punishable crime.
An NBC source said that former White House doctor to the president, Ronny Jackson, sent a letter to Borstein. However, there may not have been a release form with it.
Bornstein told NBC News he felt “raped, frightened and sad” as then White House aide to Trump, Schiller, and another “large man” came to get Trump’s records:
‘I couldn’t believe anybody was making a big deal out of a drug to grow his hair that seemed to be so important. And it certainly was not a breach of medical trust to tell somebody they take Propecia to grow their hair. What’s the matter with that?’
Trump’s former doctor said that after he told a New York Times reporter that the president took Propecia, the president broke all ties with Bornstein. The prescription is for enlarged prostates and is often prescribed to stimulate hair growth in men. In addition, the physician admitted Trump took drugs for rosacea and cholesterol as well.
After people clamored for Trump’s medical records during the 2016 presidential campaign, Bornstein wrote an unusual letter. He described “unequivocally” that Trump would be the “healthiest president in history.’ The doctor also said that 45’s health was “astonishingly excellent.”
