Porn Star Stormy Daniels Eyed Bid For L.A. Senate Against Known “John” Candidate

-

Adult entertainment star and producer Stormy Daniels is no dummy. She hired a brilliant pit bull attorney, Michael Avenatti, to take on the president of these United States, Donald Trump. Yet, her latest news was totally unexpected.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, appeared in front of the network and cable news cameras with some frequency. Avenatti took her case to them almost daily, it seemed, and he said has no intention of stopping.

Trump had a sexual encounter with Daniels mere months after his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, gave birth to their son. Then, before the 2016 presidential election, his personal attorney, Michael Cohen, paid her an odd amount in hush money, $130,000.

Cohen also made her sign a nondisclosure agreement to silence her. Shortly after, a strange man threatened the actress as she lifted her daughter, in an infant seat, from her car.

Now, Daniels, 30, has set her sight on Louisiana’s Senator David Vitter (R). Recently, the woman started her listening tour as a way to make her final decision about running against him. At this point, Daniels has not yet chosen a party.

She would not be the first adult entertainment star to run for office. Italian porn star, Cicciolina, won an Italian parliament seat and became the first hardcore actress elected to office.

The woman who went up against Trump has an idea for her campaign slogan, The Daily News reported:

‘Stormy Daniels: Screwing People Honestly.’

In addition, the Daily News reported Daniels said she was “the best person for the job:”

‘Those of you who don’t know who I am. I’d suggest that you don’t Google that until you get home from work. I have never said that I’m the best person for the job. I absolutely am not. I just think I’m a better choice than the senator they already have.’

Daniels would run on a platform to eliminate internet child porn, end income tax, raise sales taxes, and end military troops in operating in Iraq, according to the Daily News:

‘I have never said that I’m the best person for the job. I absolutely am not. I just think I’m a better choice than the senator they already have. If you get any closer you’re going to have to start tipping me.’

Vitter appeared in the so-called D.C .Madam’s records of her porn ring in 2007. He apologized, with his wife standing beside him, a troubling expression of betrayal etched on her face.

He called his act a “very serious sin,” and cut off the questions. Later, a New Orleans madam said that he was a regular, but he still remained mum.

Vitter won his bid for the U.S. Senate in 2010, yet lost his bid for Louisiana governor in 2015. The likely reason was that running for governor put him under a bigger local magnifying glass.

Head of the nonpartisan Cook Political Report and Louisiana native, Charlie Cook, told The Washington Post this about Vitter:

‘Voters in 2010 were vaguely aware that Vitter’s name had come up in the D.C. Madam case, (but) there were few details and virtually none knew that there was some kinky elements to it. These hints started getting aired over the summer and gave it an entirely new dimension.’

A current poll of likely voters showed that just 30 percent would certainly vote to reelect him, according to the Daily News.
