When North Korea released three prisoners and dictator Kim Jong-un agreed to meet with “President” Donald Trump at a summit in June, Republicans went nuts and celebrated the historic achievement.
However, Republicans are going to have to dial it back some considering Trump just pulled out of the summit with Kim on Thursday and managed to threaten him with nukes.
The New York Times reported:
‘In a letter dated Thursday to Mr. Kim, the American president said he would not attend the summit due to “tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement.”‘
Recently, Vice President Mike Pence was called “ignorant and stupid” by someone in the North Korean regime. So apparently, we’re canceling a historic summit that would lead to the denuclearization of a country that hates our guts because Pence got butthurt.
Guess what Pence? A lot of people in America think the same thing.
This literally sounds like the crap that goes on in elementary school. Kim’s regime said something he didn’t like, so now he won’t let him play at their play-date.
In the letter, Trump also said:
‘I felt a wonderful dialogue was building up between you and me, and ultimately, it is only that dialogue that matters. Some day, I look very much forward to meeting you. In the meantime, I want to thank you for the release of the hostages who are now home with their families. That was a beautiful gesture and was very much appreciated.’
The real kicker, however, is the fact that Trump actually made a veiled threat against North Korea talking about the powerful arsenal of nuclear weapons America has.
‘You talk about your nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used.’
Are you serious? Those are words that could actually start a war. It’s unbelievable that a president of the United States would use such language; however, here we are America.
