Proof of the Trump family’s ties to shady characters just keep coming as Mueller’s investigation moves along. There is an endless theme around Trump associates’ meetings with foreign government officials who later benefitted from Trump’s policy initiatives.

The latest round of proof comes from NBC News, who uncovered meetings between close Kushner associate Rick Gerson and UAE government officials.

‘Richard Gerson, a hedge-fund manager in New York, was in the Seychelles in January 2017, less than two weeks before President Donald Trump’s inauguration and around the time Trump associate Erik Prince secretly met with Russian and United Arab Emirates officials, including Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan of Abu Dhabi, four of the people said.’

This meeting is significant because of the connection made between other questionable meetings in the same area, meetings that Erik Prince (brother of Betsy Devos) says that he did not plan. It is widely believed that Prince lied to the FBI about that meeting, and its coordinator, George Nader, an “an adviser to the de facto leader of the United Arab Emirate” who is currently cooperating in the investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

The meetings are believed to have been set up to provide an undetectable communications source with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin. The meetings followed Kushner’s attempts to set up a backchannel to the Russian government. The private meeting included Nader, Kushner’s friend Gerson, and Krill Dmitriev, a man who “manages a Russian sovereign wealth fund and is thought to be close to Vladimir Putin.”

These reports make the Mueller investigation even more legitimized considering Russian government officials’ offer of “dirt” on Hillary Clinton and their attempts to influence the 2016 presidential elections.
