Either Melania Trump is illiterate or she just has the most incompetent staff in history. Either way, the jacket she wore to visit the migrant child detention centers on Thursday may be the dumbest decision anyone in the Trump administration has ever made, and that takes some true ignorance to accomplish.
FLOTUS spox confirms Mrs. Trump wore a jacket to visit border kids that reads: "I really don't care. Do you?" Spox says: "It's a jacket. There was no hidden message. After today's important visit to Texas, I hope the media isn't going to choose to focus on her wardrobe." pic.twitter.com/Bp4Z8n455G

Perhaps the person who chooses her wardrobe couldn’t find a jacket that said, “I Hate Children” or “They’re Making Me Do This for the Optics.” Honestly, the jacket she wore sent an even worse message that said it all.
In light of the spokesperson for the First Lady who said the "I really don't care do u?" message on the jacket FLOTUS wore wasn't a message, "it's just a jacket," I am sending the below picture.
It's not a message, 'it's just a t-shirt."

In a statement printed by USA Today, Melania spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham dismissed the criticism by saying:
‘It’s a jacket. There was no hidden message. After today’s important visit to Texas, I hope the media isn’t going to choose to focus on her wardrobe.’
It’s unimaginable that no one considered the gravity of the situation the first lady claims to be concerned about while wearing this ridiculous and disgusting message on her back.
Since Melania Trump's jacket said "I really don't care"…

For a first lady whose Be Best initiative is centered around caring for children, she and her stepdaughter Ivanka were utterly silent as the nation was outraged by photos and audio of children crying, traumatized, and begging for their mothers and father. After weeks of backlash by lawmakers and voters horrified by this treatment of children, suddenly Melania emerged to change the optics.

Stephanie Grisham released a statement from the first lady on Sunday that some saw as standing against her husband’s cruel policy.
‘Mrs. Trump hates to see children separated from their families and hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform. She believes we need to be a country that follows all laws, but also a country that governs with heart.’
Others who had watched Trump’s day of wandering around the White House lawn speaking to any reporter who would listen and found that she had simply echoed one of his statements.
‘I hate the children being taken away. The Democrats have to change their law — that’s their law.’
Those surprised by Melania’s outrageously insensitive jacket (worn in South Texas June heat) saying “I really don't care. Do U?” don’t know Melania Trump.
Doubtful it was an accident. Melania is a birther with a daddy complex. Watch her #BeBest –#YesWeCare @JoyVBehar @Rosie pic.twitter.com/YZTuXKsjXK

How many jackets does a first lady with a billionaire husband own? Honestly, she couldn’t have picked any of them over this?
