White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was booted out of a Virginia restaurant on Saturday because of her role working for the Trump administration. Sanders and seven of her family members were kicked out of The Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington, Virginia, before receiving the appetizers they ordered. Sanders tweeted:
MSNBC Anchor Chris Jansing quickly took on Sanders’ claim that “I always do my best to treat people including those I disagree with respectfully and will continue to do so.” Here are some clips she played from the newsroom of Sanders doing anything but being respectful to reporters.
‘I just want to play a few little clips from the press briefing room.
‘I want to say, I worked in that room for 2.5 years and I have the highest respect for the level and quality of the journalists who work there every single day. These are smart, dedicated, hard-working people and she often questions their intelligence.’
After the incident happened. Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ father, former Governor Mike Huckabee, defended his daughter with this tweet:
‘Bigotry. On the menu at Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington VA. Or you can ask for the “Hate Plate.” And appetizers are “small plates for small mind.”‘
MSNBC’s Jansing is basically trying to tell people not to feel at all sorry for the way Sanders was treated. Sanders has been horrible to reporters so she gets what she deserves.
Last Tuesday, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen fled from a Washington D.C. Mexican restaurant after a noisy group of protesters confronted her at her table. The restaurant’s manager had given the protesters his full blessing to heckle the president’s aide.
