Paul Manafort, who was Donald Trump’s campaign manager, is tangled up with so many nefarious Russians it’s almost unbelievable. He is one of the slickest shysters in the Trump crime syndicate, and the only reason he’s still not conducting his traitorous business is because he’s sitting in jail after the law stopped him. NBC News reported that during court proceedings yesterday in the Manafort case, a search warrant application was unsealed and it showed that he received a huge loan from a Russian oligarch with ties to the Kremlin.
Robert Mueller and his investigators sure know what they’re doing. An affidavit attached to their search warrant showed that the FBI had reviewed Manafort’s tax returns and they discovered that a company controlled by Manafort and his wife received a $10 million loan Oleg Deripaska who is known to have close ties to Vladimir Putin.
The affidavit also showed that Deripaska backed Manafort when he was working for the pro-Russia Ukrainian government. Mueller has dug up so much dirt on Deripaska that the man was officially sanctioned by the U.S. in April. Mueller has also indicted Konstantin Kilimnik who occasionally served as an intermediary between Manafort and Deripaska. Prosecutors in the case say that Kilimnik has ties to Russian spy agencies.
Manafort has been indicted in Washington and Virginia on charges ranging from money laundering, bank and tax fraud, and failing to register as a foreign agent for the pro-Russia Ukraine government. This guy is as dirty as they get. Donald Trump had to have known Manafort was dirty when he hired him. It was common knowledge for years that Manafort does the bidding of Vladimir Putin. Maybe Putin insisted that Trump hire Manafort as part of his ploy to weasel his way into our government and destroy our once great democracy.
Hopefully Robert Mueller can tie all of the dirty players up in a nice bow and serve them up to the courts so we can be done with the scandalous Trump administration once and for all. They’ve done more damage to our country than any other attackers we’ve ever faced.
