They would have you believe that immigrants are the nation’s biggest security issue, and that they commit more crime than citizens on average. This is miles from the truth. Now we’ve seen an attack on refugees housed in a Boise, Idaho complex. According to the Boise Police Department, a man is in custody after nine people were stabbed, six of them being children. The report states that four of those people have life-threatening injuries. Check out the report below:

“Suspect, Timmy Kinner, was booked into the Ada County Jail last night on nine counts of Aggravated Battery and six counts of Injury to Child. Out of the nine victims, there are six children who were injured in the attack. At this time there have been no changes in the victim’s conditions. As previously stated, four of the victims received life-threatening injuries.
The Boise Police investigation is ongoing. Preliminary evidence shows the suspect was a temporary resident at the apartment complex on Wylie Ln and State St. until he was asked to leave on Friday. The suspect, Timmy Kinner, is not a refugee. The suspect’s exact motives and reasons for attacking specific individuals is still under investigation. “

“At 8:46 pm on June 30, 2018, Boise Police were dispatched to a call regarding a man with a knife at an apartment complex on Wylie Ln and State St. Officers arrived and quickly located the suspect and took him into custody at 8:50 pm as he headed northbound near the apartments. Additional officers located nine victims inside and outside of the apartments and began providing first aid. The victims were taken to a local hospital and four victims are being treated for life-threatening injuries. The victims include members of Boise’s refugee community and there are BPD victim witness coordinators and counselors who will be assisting the families and witnesses in the days and weeks ahead.”

“As you can imagine the witnesses in the apartment complex along with the rest of our community are reeling from this attack. This incident is not a representation of our community but a single evil individual who attacked people without provocation that we are aware of at this time,” said Boise Police Chief William Bones. “Our hearts go out to the victims who are in the hospital tonight, please keep them and their families in your thoughts and prayers.”
“The suspect is a 30-year-old male. He is being interviewed by Boise Police Detectives. Officers are still investigating why the suspect targeted the victims. ”
“The investigation is ongoing at this time. Garden City Police, Ada County Sheriff’s Deputies, Idaho State Police as well as Boise Fire and Ada County Paramedics are assisting. Additional details will be released as they become available.”

Boise police chief Bill Bones released the following statement to a local media station:
“As you can imagine, the Wylie Street apartment and our community is reeling from this attack,” Bones said. “It’s not a symbol or a representation of our community of Boise, but it’s a single, evil individual who attacked people with no provocation that we’re aware of.”
