It’s not a shock that Mr. Trump made his way back on Twitter for yet another insane tirade on Saturday morning. This time the so-called president decided to slam the news media again while creating his own “fake news,” hoping to get someone to buy into his continued propaganda.
This time, Trump tweeted:
‘Twitter is getting rid of fake accounts at a record pace. Will that include the Failing New York Times and propaganda machine for Amazon, the Washington Post, who constantly quote anonymous sources that, in my opinion, don’t exist – They will both be out of business in 7 years!’
According to The Washington Post:
‘The rate of account suspensions, which Twitter confirmed to The Post, has more than doubled since October, when the company revealed under congressional pressure how Russia used fake accounts to interfere in the U.S. presidential election. Twitter suspended more than 70 million accounts in May and June, and the pace has continued in July, according to the data.’
In recent days, Trump condemned an attack at an Annapolis, MD, newspaper that left five people dead and several others wounded when a gunman opened fire in the newsroom. The president was urged to halt his attacks on the media in the face of this crisis, but now it seems that he has returned to his usual self.
During a rally in Montana on Thursday night, Trump claimed that the news media is full of “really bad people,” saying:
‘I see the way they write. They’re so damn dishonest. And I don’t mean all of them, because some of the finest people I know are journalists really. Hard to believe when I say that. I hate to say it, but I have to say it. But 75 percent of those people are downright dishonest. Downright dishonest. They’re fake. They’re fake.’
Last week, though, Trump made a statement about the Maryland newsroom attack, saying:
‘Journalists, like all Americans, should be free from the fear of being violently attacked while doing their job.’
Here’s what Twitter had to say about his recent rant:
