Today’s special elections across the country are sending Republicans everywhere into an absolute frenzy. The reason? The election could predict the outcome of the 2018 midterm elections in November. This means that if leading Michigan Democrat Brenda Jones were to win tonight against leading Republican Lena Epstein, the likelihood of a blue wave taking back the House of Representatives in the fall is far greater than the possibility of Republicans maintaining control.
Now results have started pouring in for Michigan counties as the last votes are coming in. So far, Democrats are in the lead.
According to Detroit Free Press:
“Close to 7.4 million Michigan voters are registered for Tuesday’s primary election, where they will be invited to help select the next governor and make many other important decisions.”
