When Donald Trump was doing his reality TV show The Apprentice, he was a full-out racist. This was what reality star Omarosa Manigault Newman claimed in her new book Unhinged. Then, it got worse — much worse.
Manigault claimed that he used the “N-word” many times, but not within her hearing. She also said she did hear POTUS making racial slurs about White House counselor to the president, Kellyanne Conway’s husband, well-regarded attorney and Trump critic George Conway. One of his parents was Filipino.
According to The Guardian, the former reality star wrote that she heard the president say:
‘Would you look at this George Conway article? F**ing FLIP! Disloyal! Fucking Goo-goo.’
Apparently, “flip” and “goo-goo” are derogatory terms used to racially abuse Filipino people.
Manigault served as Trump’s Director of African-American Outreach during his 2016 presidential campaign. Then, he appointed her Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison.
When John Kelly became the president’s chief of staff, he shook things up, and Omarosa was one of those things. The reality star was abruptly fired and cast out of the White House after she had been used to freely accessing the Oval Office.
Some believe that her prickly memoir about her time in the White House was a revenge book. However, the reality star said that she had the tapes to back up her points. Manigault wrote that she felt:
‘(A) growing realization that Donald Trump was indeed a racist, a bigot and a misogynist. My certainty about the N-word tape and his frequent uses of that word were the top of a high mountain of truly appalling things I’d experienced with him, during the last two years in particular.’
‘It had finally sunk in that the person I’d thought I’d known so well for so long was actually a racist. Using the N-word was not just the way he talks but, more disturbing, it was how he thought of me and African Americans as a whole.’
In an interview with KIRO, a Seattle radio station, actor Tom Arnold claimed to have a video of Trump’s foul language. Arnold said:
‘I have the outtakes to The Apprentice where he says every bad thing ever, every offensive, racist thing ever. It was him sitting in that chair saying the N-word, saying the C-word, calling his son a retard, just being so mean to his own children.’
