On Friday, Trump went on one of his usual Twitter rampages, attacking New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for saying that “America was never that great.”

The statements Trump made are absolutely absurd, and Governor Cuomo was quick to fire back at the so-called “president” tweeting:

Trump’s tweets came after Cuomo addressed an audience earlier this week at a bill signing and criticized Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again” saying:

‘We’re not going to make America great again — it was never that great. We have not reached greatness. We will reach greatness when every American is fully engaged.’

Cuomo later explained his statement saying that:

‘I want to be very clear: Of course America is great and of course America has always been great. My family is evidence of American greatness.’

He also tweeted:

Obviously, there is no love lost between these two, and that will likely never change as Trump continues his attacks on the Governor. One thing is for certain, though — Cuomo is exactly right. What Trump is doing to this country is exactly the opposite of making America great again. He’s ruining everything his predecessors have done to do just that and is making us a laughingstock for the entire world. If he isn’t stopped soon, things will only get worse.
