New York REALLY doesn’t like Trump, and it’s becoming more and more clear as, for the second time in just four months, residents of another Trump owned condo have voted to remove his name from their building’s facade.

Letters of “Trump” family name being removed from NYC building.

According to The Washington Post:

‘The building’s condominium board announced the decision Thursday, according to an email to building owners obtained by The Washington Post. The email said that, after a vote of the building’s condo owners, the tally was about 55 percent in favor of removing the large sign over their front door.’

The email said:

‘Accordingly, arrangements are being made to have the ‘Trump Place’ signage removed from the building façade.’

As stated above, this decision follows a similar one by condo owners living in a Trump building a few blocks North at 200 Riverside Blvd., and they were not the first board to come to this consensus — since Trump was “elected” in 2016, owners of five NYC buildings have elected to remove his name. As narcissistic as Trump is, you know this has to hurt!

New York City isn’t alone — Trump properties all over the world have come to the same fate in recent years.

In Panama after a property dispute:

And in Toronto:

Owners have found that having buildings bearing Trump’s name is really bad for business. Back in NYC, the Trump name can still be seen on the front of 11 buildings, but according to The Post:

‘The research firm CityRealty found that the price of condos in those buildings — measured in dollars per square foot — began to decrease in 2016, and continued to drop in 2018. Using that metric, Trump buildings once commanded a premium above other Manhattan buildings, but now the price per square foot that units in Trump buildings sell for is below average.

‘”Trump buildings have not performed as well as the rest of the market over the past 18 months,” said Daniel Levy, CityRealty president. Levy said that it’s difficult to determine the exact cause of the price depreciation but that “the data certainly suggests kind of a negative correlation between [the prices] and the presidency since he took office.”‘

The Trump Organization has not responded to requests for comment sent on Thursday.
