Remember the day the Donald Trump descended his golden escalator to give his presidential campaign announcement speech in 2015? He shocked people when he said that Mexican immigrants were rapists and drug dealers.

A group of people were protesting Trump’s racist comments shortly afterward. The ex-president’s former chief security guy Keith Schiller followed them during their rally in New York City in 2015. Then, things got ugly.

Trump’s body man tried to take one of the protesters, Efrain Galicia’s, sign away from him. The sign read Trump: Make America Racist Again. In the process, the security guard hit him in the head, CNN reported.

The protesters brought a lawsuit against Trump. During his presidency, we saw how disparaging he was regarding Mexican immigrants and other people of color.

Now that the Donald is just a citizen, his superpower dried up. A New York judge has ordered the former president to give a videotaped deposition next week as part of this civil lawsuit against him.

In a CNN interview about another lawsuit, Trump claimed that the judge could not do his job, as shown on YouTube he said:

‘He cannot do his job because he is Mexican. He is giving us very unfair rulings. They’re not sending their best. They’re rapists. I assume some are very good people.’

Jake Tapper was interviewing him and pointed out that the judge was not Mexican. He was from Indiana.

When the protesters’ trial came to New York Supreme Court Justice Doris Gonzalez back in September 2019, she ordered Trump to respond to questions in a videotaped deposition. At the time, the former president claimed “executive privilege” to avoid giving testimony. The judge said that the ex’s testimony was “indispensable” to the proceedings. In her order, Judge Gonzalez wrote this:

‘No government official, including the executive, is above the law.’

As a result, the ex-president’s attorneys appealed that decision. The beginning of the trial was tTo hen postponed so legal issues could be handled by the appeals court, according to CNN.

Now it is time for the Donald to ante up. He will testify. Gonzalez said that Trump will provide a deposition next week on videotape. The judge’s order read, according to ABC News:

‘Donald J. Trump shall appear for a deposition October 18, 2021 at 10 a.m. … or, in the event of illness or emergency, on another mutually agreed to date on or before October 31, 2021.’

Then, should this case go to trial, the videotaped testimony could be played for the jury.
