People who planned the Trump inspired riots or raised money for it are in big trouble. The January 6 Select Committee is sending out Twitter updates that probably curl their toes. One Select Committee member Representative Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) has a lot to say right now, and none of it is good for the Donald Trump people.

After the horror of the January 6 insurrection, Americans were stunned both in Congress and out of it. After the shock wore off, we wanted to know what happened. Eventually, the House Select Committee formed comprised of some very formidable Democrats. They must be getting close to the bottom of their investigation, because they have started giving us real-time updates.

The outspoken, no-nonsense member of the House January 6 Select Committee.  Representative Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) tweeted about the latest subpoenas, saying that they went to those who either raised money or helped plan the ex-president’s failed coup. Lofgren said the Committee was going to “follow the facts’ to get us answers:

‘Each one of the individuals who were subpoenaed yesterday had a role in raising money for or planning events that led up to the violent attack on the Capitol.

‘We plan to follow the facts to help us get answers for the American people.’

Another member of the Select Committee, an endangered Republican Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) has been working in tandem with the Democrats, because this attempt to overthrow the government is far greater than party. He tweeted that his committee sent subpoenas that would “help us get answers for the American people:”

We need to know who organized & paid for the rallies that led to the violent attack on @uscapitol, as well as what communication the organizers had with the WH & Congress. The subpoenas issued by @January6th Cmte this week will help us get answers for the American people.’

An international best-selling author, Don Winslow, asked some pointed questions that we desperately want answered:

Then, Representative Lofgren added another tweet pointing out that “it is a felony to lie to Congress.” Donald Trump has been trying to keep his White House communication documents out of the hands of the Select Committee, but it looks as if he may fail. Still, the Select Committee plowed on, showing they can juggle an investigation as well as or better than any other. Lofgreen tweeted that if “They spin tales, that would be a felony:”

‘.@RepZoeLofgren on latest Jan. 6 subpoenas: “It is a felony to lie to Congress, and I don’t think they want to do that. They spin tales, we know that, but this is an obligation to come in and tell the truth. You don’t lie to Congress.”‘

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) wanted to outsource the investigation and keep it away from partisan politics. That did not work out, so she put together the House January 6 Select Committee. Two Republicans joined and endangered their careers, Representatives Kinzinger and Vice Chair Liz Cheney (R-Wy).
