Active Shooter Wounds Two Cops, Barricades Self Inside Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood


According to local media reports, police have responded to an active shooter situation at a Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Police are advising that everyone, including reporters, avoid the area because the scene is not secure.

A reporter for Colorado’s FOX-affiliate witnessed police in the area donning body armor and carrying rifles.

So far, the number of victims is unknown. The situation appears on going. Two officers have reportedly been injured. One was shot in the hand, and another suffered unknown injuries. Another officer said the shooter opened fire on his squad car, blowing out the rear window.

The shooter has reportedly now barricaded him or herself inside the Planned Parenthood location.

UPDATE: Police now say at least three officers have been injured. The two described above and a third officer who may still be in danger.

There appear to be several civilian victims as well. Ambulances were seen leaving the area with the injured.
