As it would appear, Fox News has absolutely no boundaries for what they’ll blame President Obama for. If something happens anywhere in the world that is awful or terrible, they will certainly find a way to connect it to the president. And likewise, if something wonderful happens in front of their faces that President Obama had a direct hand in making happen, they will deny it even exists, find a way to make it terrible, or insist that he had nothing to do with it.
So, when Fox News took it upon themselves to immaculately link President Obama to the domestic terrorism in Colorado Springs, Colorado when a gunman opened fire on a Planned Parenthood, well, we can’t really be surprised. Of course it’s his fault and not the fault of those provoking unbridled hatred of community health center through misinformation and fear tactics like perpetuated on “news” networks like Fox News. In truth, the fault lay solely with the crazy nutbag who actually committed the act of violence.
Nevertheless, Fox News flawlessly segued into blaming President Obama. Even going so far as to insinuate President Obama doesn’t care about police officers, and linking the events that occurred in Colorado to the overuse of force in Ferguson, MO.
As the entire horrific event was still unfolding in Colorado, Fox News’ Kimberly Guilfoyle had Fox News contributor and tinfoil hat-wearing Bo Dietl on the phone telling them what he would do in this situation. However, what led to the blame of Obama was the perfectly lobbed pitch Guilfoyle gave Dietl that led to the ultimate punchline we were all waiting for — It’s Obama’s fault, of course.
“We were getting some reports earlier and talking about the Justice Department stripping local law enforcement officers of much-needed tactical supplies, military-style equipment after Ferguson and whatnot and the investigations that happened. And you just think about a situation like this where the police need every available resource to put down an active shooter situation, especially someone that seems to be heavily armed. Doesn’t make sense to me why we would handicap our police officers when we need them so much in a crisis situation like this.”
Yes, you read that correctly, she believes that President Obama and the Justice Department have handicapped our police officers because they dare reduce the force used on unarmed people of color elsewhere in the nation. Brilliant maneuver on Guilfoyle’s part to connect that. I can see why Fox hired her.
Her statement then allowed Dietl to say:
“Again, this is our president acting like a fool again. I mean to see something like this, we noticed when the attacks occurred in Paris, when the cops were in their car getting attacked, we have to prepare ourselves. This is a war… It’s going to open up here in America, and we’ve got to be prepared. And we also got to start training all our officers in the use of high-powered equipment. We’re dealing with bad people here. Our little 9 millimeters are not going to do anything against somebody with an AK-47… This is an attack on us; it’s going to be for the next generation. We have to deal with it. We have to prepare ourselves for the worst, and pray that the worst don’t happen.”
Bravo, Fox News. Your clever manipulative word art should be featured at the Museum of Modern Art.
It’s utterly disgusting that Fox News be allowed to spew the nonsense that they are allowed to vomit through the television, but alas they are. However, it’s up to people who enjoy facts and reality to debunk their reprehensible actions at every turn.
