Following comments from the White House Press Secretary declaring that Trump’s ban on Muslims would disqualify him from being elected president, Twitter erupted with a massive disqualification party, quickly gaining the top spot on the list of trending topics in the nation.

During the daily press briefing from the White House on Tuesday, President Barack Obama’s press secretary Josh Earnest declared that Trump is “disqualified” from serving as the Commander-in-Chief as a president must take an oath to preserve and protect the US Constitution, something his statements appear to prove him being incapable of.

“Now, I know that each of the Republican candidates has already taken an oath pledging to support Donald Trump for president of the United States if he wins the nomination. But the fact is, the first thing a president does when he or she takes the oath of office is to swear an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. And the fact is, what Donald Trump said yesterday disqualifies him from serving as president,” Earnest stated.

The White House spokesman also called Trump a “carnival barker,” and described his campaign as having a “dustbin of history-like quality to it.”

The internet did not need to hear any more — the White House declaring that Trump is disqualified was all that mattered in that moment.

Almost immediately Twitter sprang into action, launching the hashtag #TrumpIsDisqualifiedParty, as users hilariously showed Trump just how they would feel seeing him go. According to Hashtracking tweets containing the tag had reached the timelines of nearly four million users by 6 p.m. EST.

Supporters of the demagogue also took to Twitter to defend the bigoted candidate and mock those who would celebrate Trump’s disqualification.

Another user named @FashyFrog wrote, “hysterical idiots joining in on the #TrumpIsDisqualifiedParty are so dump [sic] that they think anything out Ernst or Obama’s mouth is divine law.”

Sadly the poor-spelling frog was partially correct, and the GOP front-runner is not actually disqualified, Earnest just meant that he should be. The news left many Twitter users sulking and in shambles as the disheartening realization set in.

Following Trump’s controversial statement, he received backlash from both parties, including the man behind the US Torture Program — war-criminal Dick Cheney. To be scolded on violating Constitutional rights by Darth Cheney himself is a pretty sure bet that you have achieved maximum evil.

Republican Senator Lindsay Graham also had some serious words for the candidate, saying:

“I want to talk to the Trump supporters for a minute. I don’t know who you are and why you like this guy. He’s going to take all of the problems of the world and put them in a box and make your life better. That’s what he’s selling.” But, Graham stated, “Here’s what you’re buying. He’s a race-baiting, xenophobic religious bigot. He doesn’t represent my party. He doesn’t represent the values that the men and women who wear the uniform are fighting for.”

The former reality television star did receive high praise from neo-Nazi’s however, who referred to him as “the Ultimate Savior,” and “Glorious Leader,” for wanting to discriminate against immigrants based on their religion. The white supremacist group called on the candidate to “make America white again” — essentially just stating out loud what Trump supporters will be saying with their votes.
