Cher Unleashes Twitter Rants About Michigan Governor Snyder’s Poisoning Of 7,000 Children

The water in Flint, Mich. has been poisoning children and adults alike due to lead exposure. Over 7000 children have irreversible brain damage. Why?

Gov. Rick Snyder’s hand-picked state-appointed Emergency Financial Manager, Darnell Earley, decided to switch the city water source to the corrosive water of the Flint River to save $100 a month!

When Snyder lollygagged about for nearly two years, delaying taking actions, Cher had enough! No one should ever get on the wrong side of this woman, but Snyder apparently had no idea what was in store for him, once she got involved.

The “Rachel Maddow Show” brought the wrongdoing to public attention by featuring whistle-blowers in two separate shows.

Cher was enraged that children were permanently damaging their brain every time they took a drink of tap water. The pop star went into a Twitter rage calling for Snyder’s execution.

After Attorney General Loretta Lynch and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) launched an investigation this week, Snyder finally declared a water crisis.

Anyone with minor knowledge of chemistry would know that action, putting water with a high salt content through lead pipes, will corrode them and send lead into city tap water.

The governor finally took action, but he has not provided Flint citizens with a safe water alternative for drinking, cooking, and bathing. Volunteers are distributing bottled water.

Cher’s first tweet at 9:11 p.m. said, “Gov. of Michigan is a murderer,” and rightly blamed Snyder for intentionally deciding to “poison the water.” Her last hashtag was telling: #JAILFORRICK.

At 9:49 p.m., Cher talked about “incompetent politicians” and fleshed out her first tweet. She escalated in this tweet, saying “THEY R CRIMNALS!! She also condemned Snyder in the hashtag: #FIRINGSQUARDWORKS FORME.

Synder spokesman Dave Murray responded in an email:

‘It’s unfortunate that someone would use such rhetoric at a time when Gov. Snyder is working so closely with Flint’s leaders on coordinated efforts to protect the health and welfare of people in the city and across our state.’

Cher carries a lot weight with almost 3 million Twitter followers. Her posts were re-tweeted more than 400 plus times and got more than 1,000 likes by midnight.

Snyder, under a Republican-driven Michigan legislation, canned all of Flint’s elected officials and replaced them with his appointed emergency manager. As a result, the city’s lead pipes are beyond repair.

The New York Times, CNN, and most national news outlets are picking up the story. Newsweek called it “one of the nastiest cases of toxic discharge in 2015,” and “Parents in Flint, Michigan can look forward to a 2016 living in fear for their children’s brain development after learning their water is full of too much lead.”

Both researchers and pediatric physicians have declared the Flint River water far more corrosive than Lake Huron water, since 2014.

So, what would be the appropriate punishment for a man who knowingly poisons a city’s children, resulting in irreversible brain damage?
