A Muslim woman wearing a ‘Salam, I come in peace’ t-shirt was kicked out of a rally for Donald Trump Friday night in Rock Hill, South Carolina, as she stood there silently.
Rose Hamid, a 56-year-old flight attendant was sitting in the stands directly behind Trump, then stood up during the GOP front-runner’s speech after he suggested that Syrian refugees fleeing war in Syria were affiliated with ISIS (aka: the Islamic State, ISIL or Daesch).
Even though Hamid stood silently, not bothering anyone, Trump supporters around her began chanting Trump’s name — as per instructions by Trump campaign staff before the event in case any protesters showed up.
Then they pointed at Hamid and Marty Rosenbluth, the man who was standing beside her.

As she’s led out of the facility by security, Trump supporters can be seen turned around, holding up signs in support of the Republican Presidential candidate.
Hamid, told CNN that she “came to the rally to let Trump supporters see what a Muslim looks like so I figured that I’d give them the opportunity to meet one,” but the crowd “turned pretty ugly,” she said, with some shouting “epithets” at her.
Trump made an ironic comment as Hamid was being kicked out. “There is hatred against us that is unbelievable. It’s their hatred, it’s not our hatred,” Trump said.
Trump supporters booed the pair as they were ejected from the event and shouted at them to “get out.” One person yelled out, “You have a bomb, you have a bomb,” according to Hamid.
“The ugliness really came out fast and that’s really scary,” Hamid told CNN.
Major Steven Thompson of the Rock Hill Police Department said that Hamid was ejected from the rally because the campaign told him beforehand that “anybody who made any kind of disturbance” should be escorted out.
But that’s become routine at Trump rallies, and at many of his events protesters have been beaten while the crowds cheered, “Trump, Trump, Trump!”
This. This is Trump’s America and it’s teeming with bigotry. What an ugly spectacle. Ms. Hamid wanted Trump supporters to see what a Muslim looks like. They did and they tossed her out while the crowds cheered it on.
