GENEROSITY: President Obama Offered The Biden Family Financial Aide When Beau Was Dying

Vice President Joe Biden is one of the good guys, and I’m not saying that just because he sends me Christmas cards. He really does wear a white hat. His older son, Beau Biden, died last year from brain cancer, which is all the more tragic, because the vice president lost his wife and young daughter in a car crash years ago.

After that terrible accident, then Senator Joe Biden promised his two sons, that he would be home every night. True to his word, he took the train back to his family, no matter how late the time.

In an interview with CNN’s Gloria Borger, Biden opened up about his family’s struggles centered around his son’s health and the family’s financial concerns.

The entire Biden family worried about Beau’s health, and Beau was afraid he might have to step down from his position as Attorney General of Delaware a few months early. But without his son’s salary, finances would be difficult, if not impossible.

When the vice president mentioned his family’s worries to President Barack Obama, he also said he was considering selling his Delaware home. But the president said no.

‘He said, ‘I’ll give you the money. Whatever you need, I’ll give you the money. Don’t, Joe. Promise me. Promise me’.’

It looks as if Joe Biden is not the only man wearing a white hat.
