On Tuesday night, Megan Kelly invited Michael Moore on her show The Kelly File. Kelly expected Moore to talk about his upcoming movie, but he had another agenda in mind.
As soon as they began talking Moore asked, ” What does this feel like for you? Cause you don’t want to be the story. You’re a journalist.” Kelly was surprised and responded that she is the one that gets to ask the questions here.
Moore went on to say, “What is he afraid of? I’m sitting here, I don’t feel any fear.”
Kelly, chuckled and dismissed his comment trying to get back on topic. Rather than continue talking about the movie, Kelly began asking about politics. Speaking about politics may have not been the best way to get off of the Donald Trump discussion because Moore then continued to try and pry information out of Kelly and praise her for what she did.
‘You have done something that Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Rubio, Cruz, none of them have been able to do, which is to essentially frighten him, make him run, shut him down.’
Kelly lightheartedly responded, “Would You move on from the Trump situation?”
Sneaking a last few words in, Moore remarked:
‘Everyone has tried to do this for months — but you did it!’
Moore finally moved on in the conversation about politics and stopped prying for information. Moore’s intentions were not to talk about his upcoming documentary, he would rather talk about politics and what happened with Donald Trump.
At the end of the conversation, in one final attempt Moore mentioned:
‘To get elected president in this country, you have to come on this network. You have to play ball with this network. Donald Trump today said I’m not playing ball with this network. That’s a historic moment!…You’ve made this happen. You’ve caused a crisis upstairs.’
Moore congratulated Kelly on bringing up important topics that Trump felt uncomfortable talking about. He was thankful that she brought up the “war on women” and feels she needs to be recognized for it. Moore, obviously not a fan on Trump, refuses to give up when given the opportunity to get Kelly’s side of the story.
